New Matter: Inside the Minds of SLAS Scientists
The Importance of Science and Health
Show Notes

Evan Hegarty started out in helping human disease in Alzheimer's and moved his way up to co-found Newormics. Newormics offers toxicology services using their advanced microfluidic devices for high-throughput and high-content screening of small animal models and 3D tissue organoids. Evan talks about their exciting new project in testing a full chemical library of known toxicities from the NIH. Their goal is to reduce animal testing by using their technology, which will be a huge accomplishment. Almost as big as playing a show for over 20 thousand people in Austin with his band. ;)

If you missed it, check out their webinar on their early uses of their technology.

Newormics is a SLAS2021 Ignite Award finalist and participated in Innovation AveNEW at SLAS2021 Digital.
